I’ve known for a very long time that I’m a highly sensitive person. But for some reason, I haven’t done anything to live accordingly. I know now why I can’t go shopping for a whole day - I need time to decompress, to think and relax. Being with lots of people for an extended amount of time is draining, more so than my introverted friends experiences. Being a HSP brings lots of benefits, like a rich emotional life, INTUITION and a sense of details. However, when you aren’t aware of your shortcomings or what makes you over stimulated, it can be hard to live in a world that isn’t made for you.

It started out really well, then fizzled out for me. There are definitely a few really good things Aron discusses, however, due to all the learning I've done previously, much was just repeated. A good starter book for someone new to the world of highly sensitive people.
