I really enjoyed this one. I didn't realize it was number 3 in the series but didn't feel like that hurt my reading or understanding other than having more familiarity with some of the side characters. But basically any book set in Ireland is going to be a yes for me. I really loved how different this one was from your typical romcom. It was sweet, adorable and fun but also full of depth and very serious mental health representation. Raine has ADHD and Jack has OCD in the form of severe intrusive thoughts. Both characters were so much more than what they appear to be on the surface (a flighty traveling musician and a tattooed publican). I loved how Raine found her own community in Cobh and that eventually led to a HEA that included the travel she loves and a home base of her own. Sebastian the black "lucky" cat was such a sweet element and I don't think I could love their nicknames for each other and the meaning behind hers more. Give me a meaningful nickname, especially one in Gaelic, and I'm a goner. Loved the non-traditional HEA and showing that there are so many versions of what HEA can look like. A strong 4.5. Listened to the audiobook and both narrators were fantastic.
This was good, definitely my favorite in the series! I really like her writing, I think she’s a strong writer and her stories are told well, and the romance was cute. I don’t have any experience with ADHD or OCD, so I hope the representation was good, but it just felt a little forced to me. Having read the first two books in the series and thinking Jo and Nina were kind of annoying without a good reason, it almost felt to me like Raine having ADHD gave her an excuse to make bad decisions. The mental health representation is very important and I appreciated it being highlighted, but it did get a little heavy-handed.

So much of this book hit close to home when it came to Raine and her music.
A quick adorable read when you wanna shut off your mind. And the urge to go to Ireland is somehow even stronger now.
Also the Niall Horan mention? 100/10

This wasn't my favorite book in the entire world. I immensely enjoyed the ADHD rep and the OCD rep, however. I've read a book now with an FMC with OCD and now this one, where Jack, the MMC has OCD and they were both so different but I think both such important representations of the disorder that really shows how multifaceted but scary it can be. I struggle a lot with intrusive thoughts and compulsions much like Jack does and it's comforting to read about someone who's like me in any sort of way. The romance felt a little on the boring side, but it was sweet and I could see them being together after the book ends, and that's what I base a good romance on; if I can get to the end and think, yeah, they'd still be together ten years later, then to me, it's a good romance.

Sometimes the characters were really annoying. I know their neuroses are highlighted for a reason, but here, for me, it got in the way.
