4.5- I had to take off .5 due to some of the events that upset me (I know why they were there, I just couldn’t get past it). The book is wonderful. It’s got the deep themes that you think about after you stop reading it, but also just the surface level reading is amazing. (I hope that makes sense, haha)

The writing was well done, but I don't feel the story line and characters lived up to it. I did enjoy Agatha as a character, but also wanted much more of her and from her. I can see both sides of readers who enjoyed it and those who didn't.
Moderate: Suicide and Animal cruelty
Minor: Homophobia, Religious bigotry, and Sexual assault
