As always, Cassandra Clare delivers. I don't feel that this book had as much action as some of the others, but it did contain a lot of character development.

The Real Shadowhunters of the London Institute, produced by 2000s VH1.
It took me a little longer to fall into this story than when I first read Cassandra Clare - in City of Bones. By the end of their story though, I loved Tessa, Jem and Will, and surprising myself, Magnus as much as I loved Simon, Clary and Jace. This story is darker and has more twists and turns. There is a lot of backstory presented, with room for much more. Maybe because it's set in London, and various parts of England, or maybe because it's set in a previous century - either way, it seems very convoluted. There are complications and curses, but love will triumph in the end. Anyway, I loved the story, and read all 3 books in a flash to the detriment of my housework.
