This was my first read on the year...it's going to be tough to top it.

An amazing journey of self-discovery that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I’m gonna be honest with y’all, I did not think I would like this book as much as I did. I bought this book a few years ago (2021 I think?) so I have an older copy filled with HP references. I now know that the author has republished this without them, but reading them made me feel so uncomfortable and irritated. Felix also annoyed me in the beginning, but slowly as he started to grow more as a character I could see myself so much in him. His identity, the way he feels about love, the jealousy and fear, all of it made me realise that we are so much alike. Maybe one day I will replace this with a newer version if I ever find it in a secondhand shop, but for now it will proudly stand on my bookshelf.

I loved Felix and his story so much! I thought the characters, primarily Felix, learned a lot of really valuable lessons throughout the book and the ending was really satisfying. I also loved that Felix explores his gender identity throughout the book. I don't think enough books explore the fluidity and uncertainty of one's gender identity enough, and Felix is a perfect example of the ever-evolving journey many people take in learning who they are.

Neues Lieblingsbuch bzw eins meiner Lieblingsbücher

I really liked this one! Great queer rep, complex relationships, and a journey with identity.

This one uh really hit me in ways I unexpected.

I won’t pretend to under what Felix goes through because I’m not trans but like him through this book I currently am messing around with my identity.

Please go read this.
