I now have a new favourite hero in the Midnight Dynasty universe. Leo Morelli had me panting from the first book, ending up full swoon with the romance by the third.
His character balance is incredible. To be able to fill the domineering beastly alpha role while still being a loving and thoughtful human. His dirty talk is panty melting, his romance game is heartwarming and he's also willing to burn the whole city down for Haley.
Story wise this is angsty, hot and filled with hidden depth and danger. I also felt this was the first story in the MD world to really move the story forward and acknowledge previous character arcs fully, like Lucian and Elaine.
Caroline Constantine is a brutal villian and it was scary how far she is willing to go for power.
I loved the little nods and parallels to the traditional Beauty and the Beast fairytale, they transferred really well to this dark romance version while still feeling like its own unique story.

Leo and Lucian's opposite but similar struggles, was one of my favourite things. To have one feel nothing while the other felt too much, I couldn't help but feel for both of them. Great planning between authors of both series. The absence of pain and the overwhelming burden of pain, shaped both of them in different ways. Was a very twisted turn of fate for them.

Fallen Rose picks right up where Hidden Beauty left off and what a mind-blowing ride. This book had me immersed from the first page and didn't let up until the end and even then I wanted more!! Leo is definitely a complicated man trying to find his way through the darkness and his light in the end is Haley. Their relationship is all-consuming, intense, steamy with all the feels!!!

I really enjoyed learning and understanding more about Leo and how we were able to see how vulnerable he is in this book. And Haley is the perfect woman for him. Strong, kind and ready to fight for the ones she loves. The dynamic and connection they have is unbreakable, raw and on another level. They’re just perfect for one another. If you thought you couldn’t love Leo Morelli anymore than you already did just wait until you read the conclusion to Leo and Haley’s story. Leo is completely swoon worthy. There isn’t anything this man wouldn’t do to not only protect Haley but make her happy as well. Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster ride like you have never been on before. Amelia Wilde’s writing is top notch and bleeds off the pages. This will have you hooked from beginning to end. These two are completely perfect for each other. The fact that Haley loves ALL of Leo melts my heart and that woman just like Leo would go to the ends for the earth for him. Their story and journey was in no way easy but that made their conclusion that much sweeter. This series is a MUST READ!
This is my second trilogy in the midnight dynasty world. They are dark and have messed up characters but they are also different and unputdownable. I really liked Leo and Haley's story. I actually liked them more than Winston and Ash in [b:Stroke of Midnight|55556938|Stroke of Midnight (Cinderella, #1)|K. Webster|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1601840601l/55556938._SY75_.jpg|85387750] even though Ash was probably crazier and more badass than Haley.
Both trilogies were fun to read but definitely not for everyone. This trilogy was less uncomfortable to read but also less funny compared to Ash's story. But I really liked the character dynamics and relationship developments.

What a way to end this series! I've been waiting for this series conclusion since the first book came out! I had a love-hate relationship with Leo in the other books in the series, but it was so good to be able to read his side of the story!
Him and Haley were perfect together and I think this series and directions was the best way to go for them and the character of Leo!
Honestly, I still can't believe this is over - what a ride! I love Beauty and the Beast so the style of these books were for me! They were so well done! Ahhh!
