Not my favorite book by this author. Loved the alternating timeline format but the ending was disappointing. There were too many questions that I wanted answered.

Not my favorite Elin Hilderbrand book, but also not my least favorite. The characters were all a little bit self-absorbed and one of them was quite immature (she was 19, so I suppose I have to give her a break), but I didn't love them. I also kind of felt like nothing really happened. Sure she left her engagement , but otherwise it was just all backstory, not really much current day plot.
This has a slightly different feel than her other books. I enjoyed the two timelines being told but everything happened in one day.

Crazy how Elin Hilderbrand wrote this book to take place in one days span. Pretty impressive. Good/quick read.
This was an enjoyable light read.
The plot was predictable, as were most of the “road blocks” along the way to the outcome. Although predictable, nothing was overblown and the ending was not melodramatic or of the “all tied up in a neat bow” variety.
The characters were all interesting enough that the story remains involving and the details of the day (the action unfolds over 24 hours, with flashbacks to flesh out how the characters arrived emotionally at the point we see them) were well told.
The story explores the themes of love and guilt, of the roles we cast ourselves in and the way single events can transform our lives.
