This was one of Elin’s first books, and you can see how her style and craft have been refined over time. I’m glad I read it, even though it wasn’t as delicious or lovable as her newer work.

This was a slow burn and not the typical beach read that Elin Hilderbrand is known for but it was worthwhile! This book had so much dimension to it and I could not put it down to figure out how the 24 hours would pan out for the two main characters, Marguerite and Renata.
I always love Elin’s books for the multiple POVs. This story was full of love, life, death, and everything in between.
