Well this was disappointing but still solid ending to the trilogy.
I am thankful that I was provided an eARC by the authors and this review purely my own thoughts.
Unfortunately I am disappointed with this book. I loved the first book so much and it was 5⭐️ then second book was 4⭐️ and this one is 3⭐️ yea quality gone down significantly. This book’s pacing was horrible I was bored out of my mind did we really need to have 20% of the book with wedding shenanigans!? I mean we all knew it was gonna happen in the end of b2

I love so much when a series starts out great and just keeps getting better with each book. That’s exactly what happened with this series. Book 1 was awesome. Book 2, fantastic. But this book, this was an incredible finale. While the twists and turns didn’t shock me, they were still somewhat unexpected. There were definitely Easter eggs in books 1 & 2 that foreshadowed what came to light in book 3, and I LOVE when an author does that!
We pick up in the same place we left off in Vale of Dreams, with Nia and Talan and their intriguing relationship. When everything about you is built on a lie, it becomes nearly impossible to remember what the truth is. But when those lies start unraveling, you have to face the reality of who you really are and what you have to lose.
Nia is still trying to maintain her facade of the harmless farm girl while being forced into a relationship with quite possibly the most dangerous being in the world. But Talan may not be all she thought or was led to believe.
Through the journey we take in this book, Nia truly comes into her own and allows herself to finally be who she is without apology. And it only took the threat of violence and death and losing the one person who may actually understand her. She is fierce, loyal, defiant, passionate and headstrong. She learns to finally accept and embrace her Demi-feyness and use it to fight.
And my goodness, Talan. I have been obsessed with him from the beginning, because I knew there was so much more to him than we knew, but I was not prepared for the depth and complexity that is his character, and I love him so much! He has a heart that deserves to be cherished after a lifetime of pain and trauma.
The chemistry is electric, the banter is hilarious, and the battles are epic. There are many twists and turns and planned out schemes that all come together to create an amazing ending for our heroes (and “villain”

This was a fantastic conclusion to the series. It was just as action packed and fast-paced as the first 2 books. All around a great series.
I listened to this on audio and really enjoyed the single narrator. I thought she did a really good job at portraying both MCs well.
