This was a fun read and now I want to be a librarian.

My first cozy and it did its job!

It has everything I could want in a book: libraries, witches, and a cat all in a rural setting.

I will pick up book 2 someday, when I want something light and whimsical.

Charming cozy series - looking forward to the next one.

It's a small town, a library, a hint of romance, a newfound witch's powers, and a dead body. (Of course).

Maybe cozy mysteries aren’t my thing but the multiple attempted murders in the main character were just plain stupid. Meanwhile, she discovers she’s magic, then locks it up, needs it again but doesn’t use it,  but then does later. There are too many villains, some of whom just drop the villainy at the end fir flimsy reasons. The library she’s been hired to work at is at constant risk of being demolished also for super flimsy reasons. It’s all a jumbled mess.  This was a very  annoying read.

Omg!! I loved this book. The characters are quirky and charming, the town has that small town cozy vibe I adore, and the mystery kept me turning the pages. This is one of the best cozy mysteries I have read in a long time.

Whilst not the most fantastic book out there it was fun and enjoyable and the mystery part was interesting!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Bait and Witch by Angela M. Sanders is a fantastic first book for a wonderful new series about witches and books.

Can Josie figure out who killed a woman the night she arrived?

Josephine "Josie" Way

Josie Way is the main character and the point of view character. She is a librarian trying to do what she needs to do. Well, that is until she gets to Wilfred, Oregon. Josie is trying to figure out a way to solve this mystery while not letting out what she was really doing. She is a great character, and I love everything about this book. I love how she finds out about her magic. It's a great read.

The Mystery

Bait and Witch CRThe mystery is about a young city woman found dead near the library but no one knowing why she was there. Josie thinks it has something to do with her, but really it wasn't. I was shocked by who did it, and I loved the hints about everything. The other case that was going on is about the reason why Josie is there. I liked how each of the cases is interconnected in some way to what was happening in town. The dead woman is a great way to put the FBI there to help the murderer and make sure that no one cares about what happens to the person who did it.
Five Stars

Bait and Witch by Angela M. Sanders is an outstanding book, and I loved reading it. Ms. Sanders is a great author, and I loved her different way of doing witches, especially for a cozy. Josie is a wonderful character, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. Everything about this book is fabulous.
