i read this as a teenager and am on a nostalgic re-read of the series. this book is very different than i remember it being, and to be honest i'm surprised it didn't give me an eating disorder as a teenager. i can see what wilson was trying to do with the descriptions of disordered eating and the use of Zoe to illustrate the dangers of eating disorders, but the resolution is a bit simplistic and most of the book could be quite triggering.
Graphic: Eating disorder and Fatphobia
Moderate: Sexual assault
this book focuses on the main character's relationship with food, and involves some detailed description of disordered eating. an attempted sexual assault is also described in moderate detail.
