An emotional story about love and a lot of lost. This book has me crying at the end. Tears aside, there wasn't much story and it had many repetitive moments.

I felt like our main characters were very similar to each other. Their tone and way of speech would be hard to distinguish as they both have the same style and even a similar friend. The only thing separating them would be their careers.

While the plot moved fast, I would say it's more of a character story. It was all filled with emotion, grief and regret. So if you want to feel pain, definitely pick this up because it is all pain - in a good soul crushing way of course.

There were the sweet moments and my heart melted in many areas. But after the halfway mark with similar thoughts and actions, I would preferred something different. I want to see character development and for the plot to advanced instead of moving back to square one. However, maybe that adds to the realness because grief isn't easy to move on from.

Overall, this is an emotional read. I found loveable characters, a simple plot and a heart aching end. I just wanted more story in it and more development instead of it being stuck in one spot.

the ending just felt so vague to me, where it kind of ruined the rest of the book. it was still a good book, but not a favorite.

Is this book supposed to make the readers cry?
The story is about 2 people grieving over the same dearest person in their life. Please, this book is not a romance. Certain people get the angst and the sense of emotions in this book but I do not. The writing style is a pile of rubbish and needs to be improved because of a certain part.

Stuff I appreciate on this book :
➀ The portrayal of grieving is pretty specific
➁ The struggle of accepting your own self as it reflected on the main characters was a blown up
➂ The healing progress about finding out who you truly are after your world turned upside down in this book, happened after Katie's accident
➃ The pace is slow and it's the one I love the most because it vividly shows everything. In this case, it shows the progress and grieving of 2 main characters: Eden and Truman

Stuff I loathe on this book :
➊ The writing style. I am not a fan at all. The descriptions in the chapter are too damn long. Even the paragraph or the characterization that intentionally shows the plot and characters are too damn much to bear. It was like it goes round and round the corner without purpose.
➋ The voice of the male characters. It's so damn annoying, he cannot do the expression that good. Meanwhile, the female voice is good but they did not deliver the emotions that represent each character as they should be. That's a disappointment
➌ The characters development are bullshit. It just not really descriptive and the characterization did not get into the point we understood what they are supposed to be.
➍ The storyline is confusing and takes long enough to understand. It was not written really well. It was confusing because it focused on the characters rather than the storyline. It is supposed to be good but it isn't. It's just annoying especially when you listen to the audiobook

Overall, I'm not a fan of this book because of the writing style and the storyline but the issue that was brought up in this book is the best. There are no certain characters that have a place in my heart. Also, the feeling that the author wrote was supposed to strike into the reader's heart It did not get into me. I'm not gonna look up the books written by the author for a few whiles because it was a disappointment.
