This is a strange little book with strange characters - Sister Henderson, Edie, Andy. It pokes fun at upper middle class life and yet has a very stereotypical portrait of what the characters call the "ghetto." Interesting description of numbers running.

This is funny but the little boy's voice in this book sounds like a very young Holden Caulfield. His attitude toward school, various townspeople sound like a very toned down Holden.

Not one of E.L. Konigsburg's better books.
