And this is the book where the plot really starts taking off. I like Jules just as much as I thought I would, and am just so thrilled to be following her into another book.

I would also like to say that if Bernard doesn't die at the end of this I'm going to be very put out.

Juliette is now the Sheriff, but deaths are beginning to stack up. Why did the Mayor die? Why did the last Sheriff decide to go outside? In this story, more of the big picture is shown to us, the bad guys are confirmed and we get one of the best twists & cliff hangers ever!

And we dive deeper into the story. It is a short book, like the others, and has a nice level of suspense... even though I want to shake the main character into realizing what's obvious to the reader. She can't hear me when I yell at her, though.

And that last line makes sure I'll read the next one. Too many unknowns still exist, and I've been given enough bait to keep me hooked.

Now it gets interesting

Juliette has been pulled from the depths to become sheriff, but it may be a job she's too good at for her own good. As she studies what drove her predecessor to be a cleaner, her mechanical mind starts to see the flaws in the system from a new perspective. A great novella, but because I don't like cliffhangers, I'd like to buy the remaining stories as one. Of you're into scifi, this may not be your cup of tea. It has become less of a story about hoes people survive in this dystopian future and more of a mystery/thriller with a bad guy at the center of his web, leaving bodies in his wake.

Questions are asked, secrets are revealed, tension builds. What else exactly is out there? This is where Wool really hits its stride and settles into its groove -- like the cog of a well-oiled gear.
