I am so so grateful to Bloomsbury for letting me read this a little early. I adored Storm Keepers Island, wholeheartedly and completely so I was desperate to find out what would happen next.
The relationship o’Doyle has built between Fionn and his grandad is so powerful and heartwarming by the end I was audibly ugly crying on public transport.
I love this series, I love its roots in Celtic mythology. I love it’s spirit and the tenderness of its masculinity. I love the wonderful and beautiful magic system that is being built. O’Doyle finds a balance of gorgeous writing and mixes it with good humour and perfect pacing to make a book that can be love by all. An instant classic in my opinion

A really good sequel continuing the adventure and introducing more great characters. I love the narration and the different accents used.
A fabulous read with a great cast of characters, a gripping and entertaining plot and an amazing world building.
Strongly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Edelweiss for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Liked this second instalment in the series as well. The stakes, again, are high. And Fionn is up to quite some opposition, has got to keep his wits about and keep focus and mostly, follow his heart.
Specially loved the dynamic between Fionn and his sister Tara, and the implicated consideration, the presence of a mother can have.

I’m shocked by how much I am enjoying this child book series. This sequel was honestly better and much more gripping than the first one. I definitely liked it more but still, it is not worth 5 stars from me. The only thing that annoyed me is the fact that this main point of book (trying really hard to spoil nothing

Cat Doyle has shattered my heart into a million pieces and I might never be okay again. A brilliant sequel. I loved being back in this world with these characters and I can't wait for the next installment.
