Some of the tips helped, but overall I don't feel transformed. That might be due to a certain unwillingness to dedicate to the exercises though.

Interesting in its concept and not bad necessarily, but a lot of claims are made completely without any scientific backing despite citing some sort of research.
Makes me a little suspicious reading, not because I believe the advice won't work for anyone or that it didn't work for the author, but because these kinds of practices are good practice and contribute to a reader's better understanding of the subject matter.
The lack of citation also reads as a little funny when Knight complains about plagiarism — again, this is not meant to disparage his claims that his books are being plagiarised but sits very weirdly considering how resistant he is to citing appropriately throughout this.

It was a book I pick up due to a prompt but it ended up being informatove specially since I've been having a hard time finishing books due to my short attention span. Most chapters I found helpful but there were some that was unnecessarily long.

I love to read, and am always looking to increase my speed with any tricks I can find. In Speed Reading, Kam Knight breaks down some of the science of speed reading, some effective strategies, and practice drills to help you implement the strategies that work for you. I’m already almost doubling my page count in the same length of time!

Knight’s book is helpful, informative, and fun to read. He provides practical way to increase reading speed, but he does not see it as the ultimate solution to reading. He recognizes the need for comprehension by providing multiple experiences on how to retain information.

Lots of interesting techniques and I’m glad to know what speed reading really is. But not for me

That meeting could have been an email. That was the feeling I had while reading the book. An article on the topic is better spent time instead of a full book or at least that one.

Speed reading

There are fine guidelines that I will try with my future reading material. Too bad I started this book in a hectic period and I didn't had time to read it faster
