Through most of the book, Shane presents practical challenges to care for the "least of these." While there is a bit too much of himself and his ministry in the book and not enough Jesus, I appreciate Shane's heart for the poor and especially the homeless. I also appreciate his call to others to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Wow! If you don't mind being uncomfortable about Christian faith, this is a wonderful book. Shane keeps it real and tells his stories well. Also a book group title. A few folks were squirming and may have done a bit less shopping as a result.

❤️❤️❤️

Truly inspiring. His life amazes me. Even if you don't agree with everything he thinks or believes or says, his life demands respect. This book really challenged me in a lot of ways in my life as a proclaimed Christ follower and what that should look like.
funny informative fast-paced

I'd actually give this book at 4.5. Shane Claiborne describes what love means to me. It's what I believe Christianity actually is as opposed to what the world and MANY people who call themselves Christians think about it. Small acts of love and kindness. Getting down where people are to help lift them up. Aside from a little useless chatter in the beginning of the book, I loved this book. It really made me think about what I'm doing to affect the world and what I could and should be doing going forward.

This is a poignant, entertaining, and yet challenging book about what it means to be a Christian. Are we living like Jesus would want us to?

Provocative! The writing style is a little messy, but the book will challenge the way you live out your Christian faith.

“Only Jesus would be crazy enough to suggest that if you want to become the greatest, you should become the least. Only Jesus would declare God's blessing on the po0r rather than on the rich and would insist that it's not enough to just love your friends. I just began to wonder if anybody still believed Jesus meant those things he said.”

Convicting. Motivating. Powerful.

This book instantly earned a spot on my favorites list by acting as a reminder of what a life focused on God's justice looks like, and by providing the energy and motivation to pursue positive changes.

I'm thankful for Shane's voice. Unique. Challenging. What we all need.

Off to be an ordinary radical. Thanks Shane. What a revolution.
