I loved the cover of this book but when I found out it was a bit of a "gunslinger" ish themes, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. I ended up really enjoying this book and all the magical elements to it. Can't wait to continue with this series.

Definitely a fast paced intriguing book. The book opens to Armani dressed a boy, competing in a local shoot-out. Win-Win. I liked that the romance between Armani and Jin was not the central note of this story and that she felt conflicting moral stances on leaving her friends behind. The secondary characters are enjoyable and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
