Beautifully illustrated. The rhymes often help the reader figure out how to pronounce words that may be unfamiliar, and there's also a glossary in the back. I'm determined to have a diverse collection of books for my now two-year-old (covering different parts of the world, different religious traditions, and so on), and this is an excellent addition to her library.

The illustrations in this book are beautiful and the colors so vibrant. The rhymes are so fun to read. I docked a star for instances of incorrectly depicting how one is supposed to be dressed whilst praying/reading the Qur'an.

A double-whammy of education. Beautiful, lush illustrations showcase colors and each color is paired with a piece of Muslim tradition.

I love children's books that introduce kids to different cultures, but I think this one--while beautiful--missed the mark a little bit. While I understand there's a word limit in picture books, I think some of the definitions should have been worked into the story itself, instead of treated as an aside.
