Based on the blurb, I had no idea this book had paranormal elements (and honestly, I wouldn't have picked it up if I'd known as that's not normally a genre I enjoy), but I still enjoyed it. This probably would've been rated lower if it weren't for the last 2-3 chapters being such an emotional rollercoaster.

This was such a good, sweet read. The family dynamic, rekindled relationships, and the unbreakable bond of a mother and daughter. Great read

Very good

This is a very well written book. I was involved in the characters right away. It kept me guessing until the great ending.

This is one of the best books I have read so far this year. As an avid reader, that is really saying a lot.

The story and characters in Kerry Lonsdale’s All the Breaking Waves vividly jump off the page and directly into reader’s mind. With a touch of the paranormal and a lot of drama, this book takes the reader on a trip in California as Molly and her young daughter Cassie escape to Nana’s house for a break from things going on in their life. Once at Nana’s house, plot twists come at you like those drops in roller coaster rides where your stomach stays at the top of the mountainous cliff while the rest of you swiftly travels downwards.

I hope that the author will even consider a sequel or prequel to this book, as I truly love the characters. They make the reader feel.

*Please note – I received an advanced copy of this book in return for my opinion. All opinions above are strictly my own.

Molly Brennan fled her hometown after something terrible happened, leaving behind the man she loved and swearing never to go back. Twelve years later, she’s living a new life, with her beloved daughter Cassie. When Cassie suffers with frightening visions and repetitive nightmares, Molly is forced to return home for the sake of her daughter. In doing so, she must confront the past—and the man—she left behind.

All the Breaking Waves was a very enjoyable read. The magical realism aspect of the story was an unexpected surprise, as the blurb didn’t indicate (to me) that it would be featured. I was thrilled by it, however, as it’s something I love to read.

The characters were easy for me to connect with, and Lonsdale’s writing was excellent throughout. I’m looking forward to reading more of her books!

I received an advance reading copy of this book courtesy of Lake Union Publishing via Netgalley and Goodreads Giveaway.

I really enjoy this author. I like her descriptions and her unique storylines. This one is a little out there with the "powers" the women of that family have but it's very enjoyable.

Kept me reading

I’m a sucker for a good book with kids in it. This was a nice romance with enough to keep you guessing and reading.
