This series has been such an unexpected treat. Both lighthearted but also surprisingly insightful, and a lot of fun. I get such a weird dopamine hit whenever a power is revealed or levels up, idk what it says about me.

This book specifically had a few pacing issues. The first half was kind of a slog and hard to get into, but at about halfway I was drawn back in. The series is taking a pretty big leap forward, so I'm eager to see how it all turns out! Probably will take a break before moving into book 4 just for variety

A bombastic climax to the first story arc in the series. I know it looks like it took me a while to read it compared to book 2 but I was actually really busy so when I say I couldn't put it down I do mean that. I wanted to sneak off to find a moment to read it most of the week that it took me. As it's book 3 you're unlikely to be randomly starting here but I really enjoyed it so I hope you do too.

The ending and epilogues made this great. Its not nearly as "ehh" inducing as it was at the start, the characters have matured a decent amount. The power scaling is still be done well with only one or two moments of that feels too much like plot convenience and one time where it definitely was but it was great for it. The opening of the universe at the epilogues with the astral beings and their servants was really done and I definitely want more of that now.
