I really enjoyed this one. Unfortunately, the sequel is just more of the same - it goes nowhere very interesting and doesn't develop the characters any further. I've noticed that with Bardugo's other work as well. For my money, this book is the best of all her output, by a long way.

A really good story, but dark and gritty, which is why I recommend it for older teens. BOO CLIFFHANGERS
