I have tried reading this three separate times, twice physical and audio this time. I did finish it this time, but honestly I did not get the overall book unfortunately.

Disclaimer: I listened to this book and definitely think my rating would be higher if I'd read it.
I am honestly so impressed by the immense and detailed world building in this book. It was so vividly described and the history that builds on itself made the whole thing seem completely real.
Unfortunately, because this is the first book in the series, it also made it a little confusing. There were so many aspects of the book that alluded to history that you don't know (or in my case, missed when you were trying to parallel park).
In any case, the characters are complex and loveable, the world is beautiful and interesting, and the story is absolutely fascinating (I did NOT see that ending coming). I cannot wait to read (emphasis on READ) the next one in the series!
