This ended up being everything I was hoping it would be! We finally get some spicy scenes, we get more time with Cricket’s brothers, we get to meet her parents, questions about the mate bond & Aurora’s visions are finally answered, Cricket gets an established friend group that love and respect her, and there’s finally actual conflict with big feelings and things not immediately being smoothed over.

And it’s still toothachingly sweet!! The way they dote on her and worship the ground she walks on is just the sweetest thing in the entire world. I love that they all have insecurities and worries, are all very different characters with different redeeming qualities and things they add to the relationship. But when it all boils down it’s their unwavering devotion and admiration of Cricket that makes this series for me.

This is my favorite of the series! This was the most emotional and important book of the series. A lot happens, and it really give a new light to the series. I feel like this book had the perfect balance of romance and action/plot,

We also meet a new character named Rainer.. WHO I LOVE.

Can't wait for the next book! I am really loving the plot and all of the characters.

Loved the development of their relationship in this book! I thought it was written well and I was enjoying the cast of characters, especially Cricket and the ‘inner circle’. The real thing that threw me off on the book was Cas cheating on Cricket. I really dislike the cheating trope, and I had trouble understanding why Cricket forgave him so easily? However, it seemed to resolve itself and book continued on. Other than that thought it was a pretty solid. 3/5

What the heck?

Ok so this entire series has been so nice and sweet and such a palette cleanser for all the bully RH romances out there. I found myself grinning like a loon at how adorable the relationships between Cricket and her guys were developing for the first 2 books.

And then that scene where Cas cheats on Cricket. It's still a little unclear exactly how much he did with Sara. We know he didn't sleep with her but I'm guessing kissing was involved since he flat out says more than once that he cheated on Cricket. I kept holding hope that since he was so drunk that it would only take him a moment to shake Sara off when she tries to drag him to his room but that doesn't happen. After everything being so sweet and nice this entire scene ended up being pretty upsetting. I'm not one who needs trigger warnings but shit we just spent like 2.5 books of nice sweet storyline for THAT to happen??

Then after that everyone seems eager to comfort Cas over what he did? I get it... no one is perfect.. but holy shit someone at least punch him in the face! He barely even had to apologize before Cricket takes him back. Unbelievable.

I'm also not super stoked about the minor characters getting their own POV scenes. It's starting to muddy up the story a bit.

I'll probably read the next book but I'm pretty disappointed that this nice, sweet, palette cleanser of a story took a turn like that.

Omg. All the drama llamas. That’s the most intense Cricket book yet. It was really hard to put it down and get the stuff I needed to do today done. I was so invested that their drama and anxiety was giving me anxiety lol. It always amuses me how much communication, or lack thereof, plays. I do sometimes yell at the tv “just talk to each other!!” when people are being dumb. Never assume everyone knows everything in your mind. But that’s true of reality to and such a universal problem.
Cricket’s finally had her big day and boy was it worth the wait. Can’t wait to see what happens next as she grows and comes into her powers!

Cricket is still one of my favorite comfort characters! We finally reached her birthday and find out who her mate(s) are, but are left with more cliffhangers than answers at the end of this book. The story branches out even more to the other people in her circle showing us pieces of where their stories may go. Definitely ready for
I love the introduction of Rainer and can't wait for him to be a bigger part of the story. I'm hoping book 4 has some action. We got the angst drama in this book but I want to see them kick butt at something!
