Spring hides inside winter. We notice it emerging with our eyes, our skin and other senses. We find it in new buds, a comfortable breeze and the warmth of the sun. It exists alongside winter.
Seasons flow in a circle.
Life too, passes through difficult winters.
But after any winter, spring will follow.
Here, one spring had arrived.
****'s spring had just begun.
I'm late, but so glad to have finally started this series. Overall, the genre healing books is just one of my favourites.
This book covers sadness with comfort and offers the reader the important message: To allow yourself happiness.

Similar to the first book – warm and wholesome, but a bit too simple for my taste. I can see why people love it, but I found myself wishing for a bit more depth. Very sweet, but that’s probably why it’s not my cup of tea (or coffee ;-) )
I remember clearly how I felt about book one, how I thought it was just okay. But for some reason, I still went into this second one thinking it would be sooo much better. And I don't know why, because that just set me up for disappointment🫠😩
I love the short emotional stories. I think they are well written. And I especially like how the characters have been written. Even though these books are one short sad story after another, the author has written the characters and their reasons for going to the past or the future in a way that makes them feel real. And each character's story is so different from the others that even though I read the first book over a year ago, I remembered those characters' stories right away when they got mentioned.
I also really loved and enjoyed getting to know more about the café's staff – Kazu, Nagare and Miki – and their lives🫶🏼
I usually like character focused stories, at least in romance. But after reading this and the first book, I think that just doesn't work for me in fantasy/magical realism🥲I just need the magic to be explained a bit more.
The magic system is still really confusing to me. I had so many questions after book one, and some of those got answered in this. But I also ended up with more questions about it in this one...so I kind of went one step forward and two steps back with that😅
Unfortunately, I didn't love this one, but I'll still keep reading this series in between some heavier books.
