I’m really enjoying this series so far. It’s funny, the main characters are engaging and flawed so feel like real people albeit acting anachronistically. The sexual tension is off the charts, the mystery is engaging and nearly wrapped up by the end (my fave way for a mystery to finish!)
Graphic: Blood and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Gun violence
Minor: Infertility and Pregnancy

Another excellent mystery! Veronica and Stoker get themselves into some interesting predicaments here and I thoroughly enjoyed puzzling out whodunnit with them. And there was a new disabled character, this time with mobility issues!
I also just loved the exploration of Victorian sexuality - we all know how formal and uptight the gentry were back then but the Victorians were also randy as hell and it was hilarious to watch Veronica's utter fascination while Stoker stood their blushing like a beetroot. Some of the language, particularly around same-sex couples, was very period-typical though so keep that in mind if you pick this up!
Thank goodness book 3 came through on Libby this morning though because I'm itching for more.
