Another great installment in the Wayward Children series! This one had me experiencing all the emotions. Also, really appreciated the content warning at the beginning. There’s some definite heavy topics in here, so a heads up was a really good idea.

I feel so bad for poor Antsy. She went from a neglectful/abusive home, to a self-serving, deceptive home. But I was so relieved when she ran away from her mom and stepdad. And she at least learned a lot about life and the type of person she wanted to be while she was in the shop. Seeing her reach Eleanor and her school was so heartwarming. Especially when Eleanor reassured her there wasn’t any writing over her door except what she puts there. It’s like she knew Antsy had been taken advantage of in her Door.

I thought this was such a great book. Once I got started it was hard to put down. I liked the characters and plot of the story. I love how this book take place during the Wayward Children series and how  Antoinette and her troubles tie into the different things happening in the series. I like the setting of a shop where there are many doors to go into and helping finding lost things.  Antoinette is a great character and I always felt sorry for her and what she went through. I can not wait to continue the series.
