Still love this series, this one got a bit more into the intrigue of the world building. What is the sentience behind these Doors ?? Are we going to get this more laid out later or just continuous bits & pieces 🥲

Accidentally read this without having read any of the other books in the series, but it worked as a standalone I think! Also got me very intrigued in the rest of the series so looking forward to reading more.

Heavy TWs (glad I didn't skip the authors note) but an incredibly fascinating world

I definitely enjoyed this one more then the last one.  This was not as dark as the other book but I feel had the right amount of dark for the story line. I am worried about the future of the world after seeing reading this book with out putting spoilers. Though in general like always  a great read and worth it.

In each book a hard topic is discussed and this one is stolen childhood. It is heartbreaking and more sad than her other books in this series but I think this is a close second to in an absent dream for me. I tend to enjoy the door books more than the school books.

“Lost in the Moment and Found” is an excellent return to the worlds of The Wayward Children. Thank you to Seanan McGuire for the content warning at the beginning of the book. It prepared me for the dark situation regarding Antsy’s stepfather.

I loved Antsy. She is so many girls I know or knew. I really hope we see her in future books. Her strength and self-determination affected me greatly. Overall, this book represents the stealing and loss of innocence so well. This is one of the best of the series.

CW/TW: parental death, gaslighting, grooming, emotional abuse, grief.

Thank you Netgalley for providing a digital ARC.

Lost in the Moment and Found
is an incredibly complex and well-balanced standalone fantasy in the Wayward Children series. This book will have you completely engrossed from the very beginning to the very end. I've not read the rest of the series, but Lost in the Moment and Found makes me want to go back and read them all.
