This book was definitely different from any other Angel/Nephilim book I've ever read, very different perspective of these half human children. I loved every second of it! The characters match so well to their sin, and they did such at great job at making it look good. I'm really just in love with a different outlook on an idea that so many have chosen to write about. If you like Angels and Demons, and can appreciate when someone steps outside the box, I definitely recommend this.

This book brought back so many memories. It has been a hot minute since I last read an angel book, and I’m glad I was able to dive into this one. While it wasn’t the best written story ever, it was incredibly enjoyable. The story was gripping and flew by, the writing style the author uses made this an incredibly easy read. This has been a book I’d been wanting to read for quite awhile, and I’m happy to have finally gotten to it. Now if only I had the remains books in the series.

The characters were amazingg! The romance itself was honestly sexy, something that I was soo happy about cuz I have no idea why most authors tend to reel from that path, I mean, c'mon. Who doesn't want a steamy, hot romance? It's not like we're asking for 'too much' details, WE'RE LITERALLY JUST ASKING FOR MORE.

As for the plot, I do feel like something was off, but don't worry, I still enjoyed this book so much:))

(And please, Kaiden? Pronounced as Ky-den? Gimme a piece of that.)

This book is amazing. The writer knew how to explain this world and the characters.
I have to say that this is an original story because of course you will find books about demons and angels but it's difficult to find a book with an original plot like this one....I am not saying that others books are not originals but in my opinion this one is very original and different.
If you have the chance of read it, pls do it c:

I read this book way back along with the second but didn’t have access to the last two. Now I own them all and I think this series deserves a reread/first time read. Wendy Higgins did angels and devils and nephilim before it was cool so it was fantastic to immerse myself in books such as these again.

Wendy gives it all to us in this series debut! A variation of tropes went into this one: Little bit of forbidden love, hints of a love triangle that was never completely formed, good girl and bad boy. It isn’t overwhelming though. It’s a well-planned book, making an enjoyable read.

Kaiden is everything you’d want in a YA male protagonist. He’s the bad boy with the attitude and sex appeal and a heart who brings a whole lot of angst to the forbidden relationship between them. There isn’t the whole push-pull thing since he lays out early on what cannot happen. But the attraction between the two of them does bring them back together on more than one occasion

It’s an interesting story being built. The idea of what the nephilim does is super fascinating and I can’t wait to read how it builds into Anna’s heavenly destiny

It gets 4 stars and not 5 only because it just didn’t have that feeling I get when I read a 5 star book. Some of Wendy’s other books are definitely 5 star-ers, but not this one. It was missing something.

Being a nephilim is hard work, literally.

Words can not even describe the emotion and feelings that are stiring around inside of me right now. I was up till 1am reading this book and words can not fathom how I'm feeling right now.

Firstly, I started this book thinking it was just one sole novel on it's own. Not a series. So I went into it expecting alot of answers and understanding so that I had that "satisfied" feeling when it ended.

That was not met.

I absolutely loved everything about this book. I have read many "fallen angels" and "demon-like" novels but this one was really set apart from the rest.

We all know our 7 deadly sins right? Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Envy, Sloth, Lust, and Pride. Now imagine your father represented one of these sins and you had to work to fufill these sins on a human? Thats what the Nephilim offsprings of these "Dukes" (demons) have to work for.

Anna, our main character, is set apart of these other Nephilims as her mother was an angel. Of course at the beginning, she doesn't know this. That's when she meets Kaidan.

Kaidan. Oh my god, Kaidan. *Swoons* I know, pathetic right? Of course he has to be a demon of Lust and ohhhh boy did I feel it. I loved him, I hated him, I wanted to get lost in him. Yeah, even more pathetic.

When Anna and Kaidan make a trip together so that Anna can meet her father, they begin to really fall for each other, but imagine falling for someone you literally can't be with?

Of couse, that always makes you want it more.

My heart melted into these two more then I have felt for two characters in a really long time. When they weren't apart and Anna was crying, I wanted to cry with her! I felt her heartbreak, I felt her sadness, I felt everything she felt and it hurt. Big time.

For the first time, I'm not even going to go into any spoilers as I honestly don't know if I can take it. All I know is when it ended I thought of it as "omg, thats it! I will never know anything else from this moment on." And I wanted to cry, seriously the tears whelled up. I hated everything about this ending.

After researching it, I'm extremely relieved to know that it's not yet over. **My god thank you Wendy!!!**

So when all is said and done, I put the book down at 1am feeling left in the dark. I was so sad. I want my hot, sexy british boyfriend back okay?!

**sigh** way to go Wendy, this book was amazing!
