I'm officially done with this series. This was just a reworking of the High King's Tomb and I couldn't slog my way through the boring bits. It's a shame, considering how much I really liked the first three books (I have serious issues with parts of Blackveil and Mirror Sight should have never happened). But life is too short to read books that don't interest in me anymore.

I put off reading this for a long time after the disappointment that was Mirror Sight. Definitely a much better entry in the series! There was a plot point that wrapped to weirdly quickly at the end, but the pacing in general was good and it was fun to be back with Karigan and co.
A good 2 stars of this rating is solely due to the fact that, so if you don't enjoy that plotline this might not be such a great book for you.

Britain surpasses herself with this latest installment of the Green Rider series. Firebrand is the darker and deeper sequel to Karigan's struggles in Mirror Sight . I was worried at the end of Mirror Sight that Karigan's adventures would be put aside, making that one book irrelevant to the future of Green Rider.
I am excited for the next book but dreading how long it will take to come out.
