I don't have a problem with the subject matter. I mean, if they find emotional connection with each other and just happened to meet due to very unfortunate circumstances, who am I to judge? Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable, am I right? However, it was the very, very, very fast pace that bothered me so. I get attraction, it can be developed fast. However, Jake and Joss were too fast-paced. I'm just like, "Woah woah woah already? Seriously?" Yes, they had things in common but I didn't feel a connection between the two of them before they decided to be together. It wasn't just their relationship, it was the whole book actually. It's like bombshell after bombshell and everything's happening so fast! I was legitimately laughing at some parts of the book because I just can't believe what's happening. It's all so silly! I'm like halfway through the book and the events could very well be worth a whole novel already, given the right pacing. And you know,

was predictable. I guessed it exactly, and early on if I might add.

The book had potential to be good, but everything was just happening so fast. It's just not right.
