I felt like I have gotten enough information and I am only interested in the methodology of Analytical Reading. It is a very boring book but with value, though the rest may be irrelevant with the current information/knowledge that I need.

This is a wonderful book. I read the book many years ago. This time I only read the parts that are relevant to my current reading habits.
This is a great book. I've started and stopped this book at least twice before. I'm glad that I came back to it. This is an important book because he gives some basic rules to break down how to read books. But these rules are not the strictly followed for all books and the authors do a great job to acknowledge this.
Great for anyone interested in getting more out of their nonfiction reading.

Has some good advice and things to think about regarding reading in an effective and analytical manner. Not all of it is relevant or reasonable, but there are some good insights here and the reading list in the appendix provides a great overview of some of the classics in the Western canon.
3.5 really. you can definitely tell it's from the 1940s or whenever looool
