The Railway Children

E. Nesbit

3.5 stars. A wonderful, non-fantastical story of real life, real kids, real struggle- – but not too much. Just right for sheltered minds, I think. Read with the kiddo when he's 7+.

An enjoyable story of three children who have to face a complete change of lifestyle when they a forced to move from their comfortable city home to live with their mother in the countryside

Classic. Might be a bit charlatan to say but I probably prefer the film/play (I've seen it done with real trains, uhmazing) but that might just be sentimental. Oh my daddy, my daddy <3
