I loved this book! There were we moments I laughed out loud, and moments I was holding back tears. I can't believe I'd never read anything from Abby Jimenez until now. Thanks to Kirsten from Beyond the Bookends for sharing about Just for the Summer by this author, which made me biy it at Target when I saw there was an exclusive Target edition with bonus content! Then I realized it was #3 in a series and I had to start from the top. Now I hope to be one of those lucky peeps carrying her book through an airport and running into the author. P.S. my new favorite quote ever lives in this book: "8,000 nerves in the clitoris and still not as sensitive as a white man not getting his way." I laughed so loud!

Loved this story and the charm that Abby Jimenez brings to the page! Daniel is such a lovable character and I can’t help but think the people of Wakan live how we should all be living! Their community is inspiring. Also love that most of the romance is fade to black.

My only dislike is how the “magic” was done. Since the book was set in reality, I think the magic should have been more natural feeling.
The storms could definitely come, but the scene where the sky was blue and cloudless and there was a sudden torrential downpour?? Not sold lol
