I love love loved this series in middle school! It’s still a great series but now I have some issues, the third book I thought was but anticlimactic and both Matt and Kate I found insufferable at times! But it still gave me a lot of nostalgia!

Excellent. This time Matt and Kate journey into outer space. Things get complicated for Matt when Kate gets engaged to a rich young man. Great imagination in creating their means of space travel and the ensuing problems. Read this series-I loved it!

Wow! Is this action packed. I stayed up late to finish it. I like Kate's character, since she is such a strong female character, though I also find her exasperating. Interesting concepts, for life in space and an alternative ways of space travel.

I always enjoy Kenneth Oppel's books and this is no exception! A little bit of fantasy, danger and suspense along with romance is tops for me!

This series should be the blueprint for all YA adventure novels. Thanks Kenny

4.5 good finish to the series

I really enjoy Oppel's story telling and the Full Cast audio does a fabulous job. This adventure wasn't as thrilling as the first two, but still very compelling with a couple twists here and there with drama, complications, and new discoveries. Matt comes off as jealous and sullen for a majority of the book between being second pick in both the space crew and to Kate, who remains strong and capable. The new characters each have strong personalities while a few old favorites return. I enjoyed how this new world is painted, with a twist on space exploration. The entire series is similar to our reality, but slanted just enough to know it's occurring in an alternate reality altogether. I do wish there were more books in the series, or an epilogue to answer the "what's next" questions, but it's enough that the reader can imagine their own ending.
