This was a short book; more of a set-up for a grand finale which probably be the next book.

the action scenes were pretty riveting & i loved the discussions about discovering your potential & believing more in yourself as you get older, but the first one was still superior

Again, properly scary!! Maybe I’m just a total wimp. Saw the twist coming because there were only 15 pages left and a lot of plot to cover if everyone were to make it out alright

I loved this spooky book so much!
Ollie, Brian and Coco are back in this spine tingling, page turning adventure story. It’s springtime in Maine, and the three friends are invited on a boat ride on Lake Champlain in search of “Champy”—Lake Champlain’s version of the Loch Ness Monster.
Excited but slightly wary, the three friends set off on the boat ride with Ollie’s Dad, Coco’s mom and a classmate. Andthen the fog rolls in… They definitely find some monsters but not the ones they were expecting!
Arden is so good at writing age appropriate horror! I was genuinely spooked and the action starts right away and doesn’t stop until the last page, making this book (and series) perfect for reluctant readers.
So.much.fun!
Also— it’s worth noting that even though this is book 3 and you should read the first two, you can totally enjoy each one as a separate ghost story adventure. Just know that this one ends on a cliffhanger. Recommended for grades 4 and up!
