Lady Tan Yunxian, a Chinese woman in the 15th century, was one of the first women of physicians recorded. I loved learning about her life and Chinese culture of the time.

I read this book following a recommendation of a friend. I'd also recommend to a friend. This is an easy introduction to 15th Century Chinese culture. I enjoyed reading about Lady Tan's circle of women and how they came to be part of that circle. I read the book very quickly. Definitely the mark of a good book.
