Roman is almost as unhinged as Rennick was in Viciously Yours!

JAH does it again with another silly nonsensical romantasy. Roman meets Violet when they're 12 - both end up secretly hoping the gods will name Violet has his mate. Only for it to be Vivian, Violets twin. No need to worry though, Roman is going to find a way to go against the gods, he's got 12 years to figure it out.

The first half of the book we get Roman and Violet ages 12-24, their friendship growing. The second half, they've turned 25 and Roman needs to marry his mate and take over the kingdom from his mother.

Just like with the first one, there is no over arching fantasy plot or huge world building. This book is for the he-hes and the ha-has. Its a good time as long as you go in not trying to take it too seriously.

I liked the relationship in the beginning of the book, but it got a little creepy towards the end and at that point I didn’t care to finish.

As always with this series I laughed out loud, I swooned, I felt like crying at some points, but I throughly enjoyed it.

Do not go into these books if you’re expecting a high fantasy with romance. If you’ve read anything from Jamie you know she says these books are focused on the romance not the world building. That’s not To say there isn’t world building, however it is very much about the romance.

Roman was unhinged in the absolute best way, he knew what he wanted and was not afraid to go after it. Gods be damned. I loved his and Violets story, I also loved that there were letters in this one which took me back to the first book.

If you love slightly unhinged mmcs with touch her and die mentality, you will enjoy this book.
