It’s infamous and I’m sure I can add nothing that hasn’t really been said. I enjoyed it, not my favorite but curious enough to continue on with the series.

Spoilers for ACOMAF

I just reread this to get myself back into the world before reading ACOSF and I am so glad I did. One of the few things that I liked about the reread though is that I liked Tamlin again and I hated it. Knowing what he does makes it almost hurt more. But overall, I really enjoyed this book.

The first half was slow and Feyre drove me mad with how whiny she was. But she definitely has character development throughout the book and the last bit was great.

I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. I'm intrigued by the lore of the world, particularly the tidbits we get about some of more ancient and mysterious fae. Also, while I am almost exclusively interested in the fantasy half of romantasy, the romantic elements here didn't distract from the plot or impact my enjoyment of the story, which is a problem I've run into with other books in the genre, so that was pleasantly surprising. I'm looking forward to ACOMAF and figuring out what's going on with some of the lingering plot threads.
