A steamy, kinky sci-fi menage

I've read a couple of books by Sara Fields, some I've loved whilst at least one really didn't work for me. I picked this up on Amazon whilst it was free, and I have to say that I really enjoyed this. I found the style of writing to be really easy to read, the story flowed well and the pace held my attention.

Jenny is an illegal third child, caught stealing food and goods to help her family survive. Whilst this scenario made her sound like the youngest of three sisters she then spoke about how she looked after them and ensured they had enough to eat. This made her sound like the oldest child, it wasn't enough to spoil the book as this really was a very minor part of the story. The story commences with Jenny not only already in the training/detention centre but in a room awaiting punishment for poor behaviour. She is sent to the medical facility for more intensive and corrective training at the hands of three very strict and dominant doctors.

I loved Jenny, she is a strong and feisty character who never lost her sense of self or her determination to make sure her family were safe. Whilst she is obviously a submissive with a liking for age play, spankings and humiliation Jenny is also a tough and focused character too. Although she is meant to be 19 she 'felt' like a character more in her mid 20's, which I preferred as I'm not a huge NA fan.

Eric, Dean and Sean were also well written, unlike in some menage and reverse harem reads, these definitely had their own character and did feel very much like separate characters. My only issue is, as others have pointed out, that these are supposed to be aliens. As such I'd rather have not had very american names given to them, nor would I expect on to cook lasagne using his mother's secret recipe. If we'd been told that this was a planet where humans had settled it would have explained these anomalies but instead it felt weak.

The chemistry between each of the guys and Jenny was incredible and this is definitely one very hot read. The initial scenes are very much menage, with a few later ones being one on one. I loved how very different the scenes were, we had a whole variety of different situations and play. Initially there is some dubious/non-consent but this soon morphs into more consensual encounters.

I liked that there was more to the story than just the 'taken by 3 doctors' part. Personally I wanted even more of this part of the story, I wanted more sci-fi and world building. However what we got was enough to make this feel like a story and a romance, rather than just erotica. It's a fairly angst free read, with some of the possible 'spanners in the works' being fairly quickly and easily solved. Sometimes that would be a negative but in this book I don't think the story suited or needed it.

This does have lots of kink/BDSM play, including a small amount of age play. It also has lots of spankings and some 'forced' scenes, so might not be to everybody's tastes. However if you do like this type of book then I do recommend it.

N.B. I received a free copy of this book via freeaudiobookcodes.

I don't usually read or listen to erotica. I was expecting more science fiction elements to come into play, but there wasn't much in that realm. There are four main characters, some BDSM, humiliation, and age play. The sex scenes were about what you'd expect from erotica. It wasn't my cup of tea, but no kink-shaming here. I'm sure that those who enjoy the kinks portrayed and enjoy erotica would enjoy this.

A lot of S&M

Beware there is pain and pleasure run heavily within this book and series. Do not be fooled but I did enjoy the story aside f on the sex.

So this was okay. Kind of boring, but okay. What really got me was that Jenny is assigned to three doctors, so with a book like this I expected more medical play. Instead, it was just like the last book where each guy has a distinctly different personality and kink, and only one had the tiniest bit of doctor during his fun time. Plus, personally, I cannot get into the whole "daddy" thing at all and that was one of the others.

Jenny was one of the girls we briefly met last book when they were gathered in the training center. And once we found out her backstory, I was honestly a little surprised by the way she acted a lot. She grew up much differently than Aimee did. Living in probably the poorest part of town, Jenny ended up doing whatever she had to do in order to feed her sisters and get money for her sick mother to go to the doctor's. She found an easy target for this, but got greedy and that's how she ended up getting arrested. After her part in spreading the rumors about the lady in charge, she is given to three of the doctors that work there for training. And this goes just like the last one. Jenny refuses to do as she's told, so gets punished. Mostly by spankings. She also finds herself falling for these guys in a matter of days. Of course.

When the story seems to finally start picking up is when the doctors are called away to help a planet that was attacked and they all refuse to leave Jenny behind. It wasn't going too bad until we had to take a nosedive into stupid FMC cliche territory. It is such a pet peeve of mine when we get a character that thinks that they are going to steal an alien space craft and fly back home on their own. They don't know how to read the language, let alone fly the thing, and we're supposed to think this is a great idea?? Oh, I hate it so much. Which is what happens here with Jenny. Though at least she does sort of get what she deserves for her stupidity.

Obviously, these four get their happy ending. And the three guys even promise Jenny that will find, bring her family there and take care of them for her. Which is just....wrong....to me to be bringing two young females and your mom to that type of place by choice. But maybe it's just me.
