The novel's pacing is a bit clunky, but the suspense builds steadily. The twist at the end is unexpected and satisfying. The romance aspect occasionally veers into obsession territory, which made the characters unlikeable. The eerie setting does help keeps readers engaged though.

In summary, "You Shouldn't Have Come Here" is a cautionary tale about opening your heart to strangers. Despite its flaws, it's worth a read for the thrilling ride and surprising payoff.

Wow! What can I say... this book takes you on a wild ride. You think you know what's going on but then new information is thrown in your face. I thought I had it all figured out and knew what the intentions of the main characters were. But I was so wrong.. the FMC is something else though she does give you a slight hint that there's something not right about her it's not what you'd expect it to be. I definitely recommend that people check this book out if you want to read a good thriller-suspense filled book!

Extremely juvenile. I actually laughed out loud when Calvin started to describe Grace like an onion!! I decided it was a DNF when Charolette referred to a birthday party of Calvin as his “birthday barbecue bash”

It was ok. I think my issue is the POV because as a reader reading from the characters POV I’m in their head with their thoughts so keeping things from me feels wrong so the twist fell flat. I’m sure this a me thing but I just feel like if I’m in the characters heads I shouldn’t be the one going OMG

Not a typical thriller. I feel the story was more focus on a romance level and the the “twist” was rushed and not developed.
