Absolutely terrible. The narration was stiff and read like fanfiction, and every single character was insufferable. I’m so glad the main character was seeking therapy, but the cuts in between the story for her therapy sessions felt so awkwardly placed.

This is not a dual POV book. The entire book is told from Joss’s perspective, and I’m still mad about it. Given the wording of the book blurb I feel like I was tricked out of Braden’s perspective. Especially since his perspective would have been so much more emotionally satisfying.
I am beyond grateful for the scenes we got between Joss and her therapist. Without seeing Joss actively seeking help I easily would have hated her. She has had a life of trauma and it was a hugely relief to see such a beaten down character actually seek help. The scenes with the therapist are chronological, but don’t always match completely with the chronology of the story which I actually liked once I realized what was happening.
The sex scenes in this are good. Super good. The first time Braden and Joss have sex is on of the best sex scenes I’ve ever read.
