Really liked how both Jocelyn and Braden were strong characters. Anytime the heroine is smart, strong, and snarky (She could be annoying at times, but hey no one's perfect) and the hero hot and aggressive, I'm in love.

What I didn't like was the inconsistency of the author. Well, with just one thing. There's this big blow up over a word, then it proceeds to be used. Every. Other. Sentence. Annoyingly.

•My Thoughts•
When Samantha announced that she was going to write a spin off of her On Dublin Street Series, I knew it was my sign to make time to start reading the original series. It was so good and had some great tropes. This had a truly alpha male (like the kind that more typically written in 2010s) and I very much adored him. I loved the Scottish setting and the way the FMC, Jocelyn, stood up to Braden in ways he hadn’t experienced before. I absolutely loved how the writing included windows into Jocelyn’s therapy sessions and it was such positive and real view of the work people do to overcome trauma. The third act drama was frustrating but also felt true to the characters. I wanted to yell at both of the MCs at points in the book. I can’t wait to read the rest of this interconnected series as I gear up for more magic written by Samantha Young!

Audiobook Notes:
Paula Costello did a fantastic job with the single narration in this book. Her ability to switch back and forth between American and Scottish accents was phenomenal. She did a great job with bringing the characters to life and I enjoyed it very much!
