I didn't think I was going to like this one at first, but it was perfect for my post-finals mood.

Didn't finish. Got through part 3 and realized I was never going to care why they broke up. Life's too short to read books you don't like.

not a bad story. i just got really annoyed with it. she's so whiny and dumb! i know, I know this book wasn't intended for me but.... so cliche and predictable. This author should not write from a female perspective, sometimes I was almost offended by how naive and weak the females were portrayed. i was surprised to find out it was lemony snicket! I could also care less about the old movies. blegh. Maybe I just couldn't connect with the character because I have never had such a ridiculous relationship. It only gets three stars because of the illustrations. It would have been more interesting if the story was just told in pictures.

This may be an unfair rating; I couldn’t get through this book because it’s just not the kind of book I thought it would be based on the description and reviews.

The writing was so boring, as was the dialogue. Maybe it was suppose to be for a really young audience that expected this simplistic narration with random “here’s a French film reference that makes me sound smart and elitist while still acting like a plain old person” but after a while I just couldn’t do it.

Beautiful story
Beautiful way if writing
Love the pictures in the book
I think without them something would have been missing

Really quick read
Perfect for a rainy day :)

Quirky take on a breakup. When's the Wes Anderson adaptation?
emotional funny reflective

"Te voy a contar en esta carta toda la verdad de por qué sucedió. Y la maldita verdad es que te quise demasiado."

"Te quise y ahora te devuelvo tus cosas, las saco de mi vida como a ti, es lo que dice la mía."

The premise is good, and there is some lovely writing here, but I didn't buy the chemistry between Min and Ed, which put a damper on the whole thing.

In some ways, I loved this book - quirky, but not TOO quirky. Sad and funny and sweet and heartbreaking. But also sometimes it just went on for a long time and the end wrapped up really fast and. . .is every YA character an old movie buff these days? Why yes, I believe they are.
