would be ugly crying if I didn't read this in public. I wish my mom had had this book to read to me when she had miscarriage after miscarriage when I was a kid.

An important and much needed book for families to begin hard discussions about pregnancy loss with small children. Gorgeous illustrations. I only wish there had been a little more about emotions and that whatever is being felt is OK.

When it comes to talking to kids about bringing a new baby into the house, everyone is excited, sharing the news. But when miscarriage happens, it can be hard to talk to siblings about the baby they will not get to meet.
This book was a sweet way of sharing that the new baby would not be coming home. Sad, but a good read. Told from the perspective of a brother who was excited for a new baby, I enjoyed this read.

A very good resource with beautiful art, but it does personify the miscarried in a way that doesn't work for me.
