Thank you to Celadon Publishing for a free copy.

Loved the plot. Pace was fine. Characters were flat. Very stereotypical and 2 dimensional. Ending left me wanting more.

There’s a lot going on in this. Almost too much. Didn’t hate it but also didn’t love it.

This book was intense and subtle at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed the pacing. I was left questioning everyone for so long as this book crescendos. We have a cast of characters that all have their secrets… they’re darker sides, a dead girl and tons of unanswered questions.

I was intrigued through the whole story. We follow along with many people and each point of view, but it didn’t feel like too much. I was a tad bit disappointed at the ending. The outcome for specific characters were so dismal and it made me sad.

This was a well written story that had me gripped from the very beginning and I really enjoyed it!

I've seen so many mixed reviews of this one that I wasn't sure about starting it at first. I'm so glad I picked it up, because I quickly ended up getting attached to the story.
A teenage girl is murdered in an affluent and idyllic suburb and an investigation ensues. Three other teenagers were partying that night; each of them become suspects, and each of them have parents that will go a long way to protect them and their family secrets.
I think knowing this is a mostly character-driven, slow burn mystery was really helpful. If I had gone in expecting a faster pace I would likely have been disappointed. The author uses overlapping tellings from the teenagers' parents' perspectives, which gives a deep understanding of the characters and rapidly got me invested.
As with a lot of mysteries, getting the layout of who was who took a minute on audio, but I thought this ended up making a very binge-able audiobook.

Thank you so much MacMillan Audio for the ALC of this one.

Great narrator for this book! Any small, affluent town mystery that weaves in all sorts of interesting characters. Very interesting ending... Really enjoyed this one!

Thank you Celadon and NetGalley for the eARC of Locust Lane!  All opinions in this review are my own.

Locust Lane takes place over a few days after a local woman is found murdered in the home she had been staying in.  Locust Lane is supposed to be the most sought after road in town and it is shocking that something like this would happen on such a quiet street.  The tension builds as more secrets are revealed and characters start contradicting each other's stories.

This multiple point of view thriller was so addicting!  I ended up reading it in four large chunks because I couldn't put it down!  I love thrillers when you are not quite sure who to trust and the shifting perspective helped to build the tension.  I definitely want to check out more from this author!

Couldn't get enough of this author's prose and writing. The different points of view kept the book very interesting. Lots of twists and turns. Didn't expect the ending!
