[Note: Read in August, review written in December]

I'm not sure why but I was tickled pink with the addition of Higgs, the Strigi (were-owl?), as Wycliff's secretary
Spoiler(though it rankled a bit that Wycliff asked if Higgs was in the register, but has no intention of being on it himself. "Do as I say, not as I do" I guess.)
.

Another intriguing case!

SpoilerI thought the inclusion of Prometheus was pretty neat. It was immediately apparent that the puppets weren't puppets, but was mildly horrified at just how vindictive the blood pixies were.

Also, all those hints about Lizzie in the previously instalments clicked into place with the reveal of her heritage as Medwin's real identity was uncovered. Damn.

Another fun installment of Manners and Monsters. More beings are introduced into this world, including some who tie into another series. I don’t want to give too much detail because of spoilers. I do wish Wycliff and Hannah would just talk a bit and realize they are on the same page regarding moving their marriage out of name only status. Marian Hussey did an outstanding job narrating once again. Looking forward to the next book, and seeing Wycliff’s ancestral home.
