As always the colouring in this was beautiful, and far and away the best part of the book. This is a comic you read for the art and the atmosphere, not the story. Because the story is honestly a little bit crap. Three trades worth of meandering "investigation" and
Spoilerthe mystery is maybe solved when Charlie asks Brodsky what he thinks might have happened.
It's honestly like Brubaker juts got bored as was desperate to end it.

Kind of confused by the ending, but I guess we kinda of figured out what happened?

Solid storytelling across the board. I could hear the characters, which doesn't always happen for me with comics. A great noir series!

The final act to Brubaker and Phillip's amazing new noir series set in 1940's Hollywood. Charlie Parrish finally starts to close in on the truth behind Valeria Sommers' death and in the process learns more than he's ready for. Being a Brubaker story, prepare for brutality.
