I have a soft spot for Bennett and Cross. Generally I love these books. This one was just as much fun as I’ve come to expect. I wonder just how much Patterson actually writes anymore, but the Bennett and Cross books seem to be the ones he spends the most time on. This series is almost always good

Bennett is and oh trouble always finds him on the job. This book was a page turner and a great blend of Michael’s trouble with the shooting and his hunt to find the Mayor’s daughter. There was no shortage of action as contract killers, a maniac hacker, a church with secret hallways added to the mystery of whether the Mayor’s daughter was kidnapped or ran away.
If you’re ready for the action, go take a read.

The Michael Bennett books are still a good action filled mystery. Quick chapters always make for fast reading.
A good quick read, snappy story and great character building.
I love the Michael Bennett series, this one did not was fast paced from the getgo- he really got himself into some trouble. loved the story and of course his kiddos, little twist at the end was amazing!! Ready for the next one!

Actually, this has been way better than expected. I have read James Patterson books for a long time and not all of them are winners, especially his long-running series can be up and down. This book was really good. It had a couple of weak spots, but for the most part, it was very entertaining and I am looking forward to the next Michael Bennett book.
