Not my usual book but great.

When someone recommended this book, I wasn't sure it was up my alley. But then I started it and finished it in a day. Can't believe I loved it that much. Hope someone else reading this review takes a chance on this book.

A Little Taste
By: Tia Louise
Narrated by: Troy Duran, Samantha Brentmoor
Series: Be Still

Small town, single dad, grumpy sheriff. Well that has my attention right from the start. Add in a quirky, smart, intuitive woman who can do her job like no other and I am there! This is a fantastic story, featuring Aiden Stone. He is jaded with women and his purpose is to keep his town safe and raise his son. But when the mayor pulls her granddaughter in to help with a serial killing, all bets are off!Britt Bailey had no intention of ever returning home. She can't deal with her magical mother who is obsessed with her father's death. She doesn't believe in all the hoopla, and she knows coming home is a bad idea. Until she teams up with Aiden. And our story begins. Chemistry, a fantastic dog, a curious child, quirky family members and an unsolved crime keeps this story flowing. It's low angst, high romance and just enough suspense to keep me excited. I love Tia Louise's style of writing and will always come back for more!

Troy Duran and Samantha Brentmoor narrate this amazing story, bringing it to life. Duran is perfect as Aiden. He lends his personality to the man, creating a charisma that is impossible to stay away from, and a hesitancy that is strong around his heart. Brentmoor is fantastic as Britt. Strong, smart and loyal, she can't keep her heart from being involved, both with Aiden and her mom. It's a fantastic performance and perfect casting.

Interesting and entertaining

This is a cute, quirky rom-com with some a touch of suspense to go with all the humor. The two main characters had a near-miss moment six months prior at her going away party. When she returns to her hometown it doesn’t take long for things to start sizzling between them.

Aiden’s son, Owen is cute and I loved Edward the crime solving dog.
